City of Edna Street Construction Project
The City of Edna has begun a construction project that includes Division Street, Brackenridge Street, and Miracle Street. Currently, the City’s contractor is in the process of replacing the sewer lines. During this phase, holes may be present where sewer taps are being located; these will be filled with limestone.
The next phase of the project will involve street reconstruction. Bids for this work have been received and are currently being evaluated by the City Engineer. A recommendation for contract award will be presented to the Edna City Council for consideration on November 13th.
Please be advised that construction activity will be ongoing along these three streets during this period. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our city’s infrastructure.
