Work continues to progress on the City of Edna’s drainage and pipe replacement projects.
Crews are currently installing new water lines on Division Street at Gilbert Street. Plans call for them to move up Division toward Wells Street.
In addition, crews are working on drainage issues on Gayle Street from Apollo Drive to Dry Creek.
City Manager Gary Broz said that the pipes on the east side of the street have problems, and they are working on the best solution. City crews are cleaning out the open ditch along the street. Residents are asked to watch for heavy equipment between Edna High School and Dry Creek.
On the north side of the city, survey crews have completed their work on the Mitigation Drainage grant project. The project now enters the design phase, Broz said, with no date established yet for completion of the design phase.
Likewise, the Kleas Water Plant generator has been awarded to the city, but a delivery date has not yet been announced, Broz said.
