pipes wait for placement on Miracle Drive

Residents along Miracle Drive will plenty of activity this week as the drainage project and road replacement progresses there.

Crews will be working on installing drainage pipes and the paving contractor will begin ripping out the old pavement and replacing it, City Manager Gary Broz said.

“They will be churning up half of the street, they’ll put it back, and then they’ll churn up the other half of the street,” Broz said. “The concrete folks will be there to do the concrete turn by the bus barn.”

The goal is to have Miracle Drive completed by Aug. 1, in preparation for the start of school on Aug. 12.

“We’re trying to push everything to get to that spot,” Broz said. “Everyone is really trying hard to get us there.

Residents of Miracle Manor will be able to come and go without being blocked in, Broz said.

“We’ve got to work with the school and the buses, getting the buses in and out. It’s going to be travelable but try to stay off it if you can. There’s going to be a lot of construction work.”
